Surf Weekend Breaks in the Landes — 3-4 Night Stays Over Bank Holidays

Natural Surf Lodge offers short surf breaks of 3 to 4 nights over extended French bank holiday weekends in 2027 — Easter (26-29 April), Ascension (6-10 May) and Whitsun (14-17 May) — at the Lodge in Soustons (280 chemin de Bathurt, 40140) or Villa Baïna in Seignosse (8 avenue de la Marquèze, 40510), subject to availability.

Each stay includes 3 to 4 surf lessons of 1h30 run by Natural Surf School (EFS-certified surf school, Plage des Casernes), surf equipment available throughout, and local organic breakfasts.

    For international guests: Ascension Thursday and Whit Monday (Pentecôte) are French national bank holidays that create 4 and 3-day weekends. These are the longest spring weekends available on the French calendar.

    The surf weekends welcome all adults, all surf levels. Particularly suited to:

    • People wanting to escape their daily routine and immerse in nature for a long weekend
    • Those wanting to discover surfing without committing to a full week
    • Surfers looking for a quick early-season refresher (Easter, May)
    • Solo travellers, couples and groups of friends looking for a short, active break
    • People within a 2-3 hour drive of the Landes who want a long weekend without flying

    Lessons are organised by level — beginners and experienced surfers are welcomed together but coached in separate groups.

    The two accommodation options

    Villa Baïna SURF HOUSE for an ideal ocean retreat

    During your Surf & Ocean Retreat you will live close to the waves in our Surf House located in Seignosse Le Penon, a seaside resort on the Landes coast near Hossegor. Its ideal and peaceful location is just as close to the beach, the surf spots and the shops (bars, restaurants) and it will take you less than 15' minutes (on foot or by bike) to get to the surf school. This large surf house of 180 m2 has a fully equipped shared kitchen, a large living room, a large terrace and a garden of 1000 m2. It also has a shared room and three private rooms. You can enjoy the spacious garden with an outdoor XXL Jacuzzi and deckchairs to relax after your surfing and Ocean breathing sessions.

    THE NATURAL SURF LODGE: The Historic Surf Camp

    Every week from April through November
    Nestled in the heart of nature, the Lodge is a little slice of paradise in the middle of a nature reserve. It’s a small farm in the Landes region that’s been renovated into a surf camp, featuring two private rooms, one family room, and three shared rooms.
    In the middle of this large green space, you’ll find a spacious common area featuring a dining room, a kitchen, a chill-out corner, and other cool amenities: pool table, foosball, guitar, piano… A skate bowl is also available at the Lodge to help you practice your surfing moves, as well as a spa pool and a steam room to relax in between your surf sessions.
