Teen Surf Camp Ages 12-20, Seignosse, Soustons, Hossegor — South-West France, Since 2003

A week of sports vacations between young people (teenagers without parents !) in a dream location in the South-West of France, to discover or improve your surfing on the mythical spots of the Landes !

For the adult in construction, the surf camp is the opportunity to emancipate oneself in complete safety. Adolescence is an age of transition during which the young person may need to get away from his parents' gaze. The teen surf camp at Natural Surf Lodge is the perfect opportunity to grow up and evolve in another environment under the caring and reassuring supervision of the entire team.

What is the Natural Surf Lodge teen surf camp?

The Natural Surf Lodge teen surf camp is a one-week sports holiday for young people aged 12 to 20, without parents, in the Landes region of South-West France. Since 2003, Claire, Stéphane and the team have been running immersive surf stays on the beaches of Seignosse — one of the most unspoilt stretches of Atlantic coastline in France. The programme combines daily surf lessons run by Natural Surf School (EFS-certified surf school, state-qualified instructors), full board accommodation, and round-the-clock supervision by a dedicated professional team. Groups are deliberately small — 6 to 8 teenagers maximum — to ensure every young person gets individual attention and the best possible week.

Living together

Staying at the Natural Surf Lodge in a surf camp for teens means joining a big family of surfers with sporting, friendly and human values. During a week, the youngsters will learn about community life by sharing moments around a common activity: surfing.

The whole team is particularly attentive to the needs and expectations of each young person. The deliberately small size of the group (6 or 8 people maximum) guarantees simple and effective communication. The objective is to offer a warm and relaxing environment for each teenager while making sure that each one spends the best week possible with many memories.

Raising awareness among young people about respect for the ocean

"Ocean is our nature" is the idea behind the Natural Surf Lodge. Surfing is a sport but it is also a way of life and a way of understanding the environment that surrounds us. Claire, Stéphane and the whole team have at heart to transmit their love for the ocean and to raise awareness of the issues that are specific to it. Ocean pollution is an important issue and that's why at the Natural Surf Lodge we make sure to respect this playground. We try to educate the kids on caring initiatives like picking up trash after each surf session. It's a way to do our part in protecting the oceans but also to be aware of the challenges we face today.

Surfing as a rhythm of your stay

Surfing is a lifestyle. It instills strong values such as perseverance, commitment and respect for the natural elements.
For one week, the young people will live at the rhythm imposed by the ocean and the surf conditions. Depending on the tide times, they may have to get up at dawn to have breakfast and get their energy before entering the water at dusk. They will go through all the emotions and sometimes frustration before knowing the grail : surfing.
